The LA Regional Cleantech Career Academy offers paid learning and mentorship with local business leaders to help you jumpstart a career in one of Los Angeles’ fastest-growing industries. The Cleantech Academy includes 12 weeks of paid, work-based learning and features professional industry speakers, in-person site visits and group projects with other students.

• Earn a stipend/scholarship ($17.87/hr) for up to 160 hours completed throughout the academy

• Build a professional network with influential industry, academic and organized labor leaders

• Work closely with mentors and other students to develop industry-driven projects

• Develop marketable skills to succeed and put you on a path forward in the cleantech industry

Program requirements

• Must be a current L.A. County resident with proof of residency

• Must be 18 to 24 years old

• Interest in learning about the cleantech economy (no prior industry/work experience is required)

• Commitment to 12 weeks of required, on-camera, virtual sessions, 2x a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4-6:30 p.m.)

• Availability to attend MANDATORY, in-person sessions, including the kick-off event, graduation ceremony and at least two scheduled employer site visits in the L.A. area

• Access to an internet-enabled device and Wi-Fi; on-camera presence is required

• Must meet specific income requirements

• Must be U.S. work eligible and meet Selective Service requirements (males 18+).
