Step 1: Visit our online application portal. After reviewing the description, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Apply" button.

Step 2: Enter basic information. Once all required fields are complete, click "Next Step".

Step 3: Enter applicable experience information (optional) and click "Next Step".

Step 4: Upload your resume (optional). Please note that uploading a resume is highly encouraged, but you can also return to this step later if you do not have one ready to upload. Click "Next Step" to proceed.

Step 5: Include a brief statement of interest. Click "Submit".

Step 6: After you complete the application, you will receive an email from the UNITE-LA team asking you to submit a 1-2 minute pre-recorded interview on VidCruiter, a virtual interview platform. This allows us to get to know you better. In the pre-recorded interview, you will briefly share your interests and expectations for the Cleantech Academy.

Your application has now been submitted and you will receive two emails — one confirming submission of the application and one confirming submission through VidCruiter.

Requirements to Apply

• CURRENT resident of the City of L.A. or L.A. County

• Must be a senior high school student and/or 18 to 24 years old

• Interest in learning about the cleantech economy (no prior industry/work experience is required)

• Commitment to 12 weeks of on-camera, virtual sessions, 2x a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4-6:30 p.m.)

• Availability to attend occasional in-person sessions, including the kick-off event, graduation ceremony and at least three scheduled employer site visits in the L.A. area

• Access to an internet-enabled device and Wi-Fi

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and meet program income requirements
