The LA Regional Cleantech Career Academy offers paid learning and mentorship with local business leaders to help you jumpstart a career in one of Los Angeles’ fastest-growing industries. The Cleantech Academy coursework spans 12-weeks of virtual training, including guest speakers and group projects with other students, as well as several in-person site visits.

• Earn $16.90/hr for up to 160 hours completed throughout the academy

• Build a professional network with influential industry, academic and organized labor leaders

• Work closely with mentors and other students to develop industry-driven projects

• Develop marketable skills to succeed and put you on a path forward in the cleantech industry

Program requirements

• CURRENT resident of the City of L.A. or L.A. County

• Must be a senior high school student and/or 18 to 24 years old

• Interest in learning about the cleantech economy (no prior industry/work experience is required)

• Commitment to 12 weeks of on-camera, virtual sessions, 2x a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4-6:30 p.m.)

• Availability to attend occasional in-person sessions, including the kick-off event, graduation ceremony and at least three scheduled employer site visits in the L.A. area

• Access to an internet-enabled device and Wi-Fi

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and meet program income requirements
