The LA Regional Cleantech Career Academy provides an on-ramp to one of the state’s fastest-growing sectors — cleantech.
This first-of-its-kind program connects students from historically marginalized communities with paid educational opportunities and work experience in the ever-growing cleantech industry.
UNITE-LA has developed the academy in partnership with employers across the LA region who share their belief that education and diverse perspectives are key to solving our toughest problems — including the fight against climate change.
The opportunity is undeniable: 4 million new cleantech jobs are projected in California by 2045. For businesses and community leaders, the Cleantech Academy presents a unique chance to invest in future talent right here in Los Angeles.
For students, the academy is a unique opportunity to learn the in-demand skills they need to step off the sidelines and into the climate fight.

The Cleantech Academy will host multiple student cohorts during our initial 3-year program, giving students unprecedented access to career growth in our industry.
Our goals include:
300 students enrolled
20 – 30 participating employer partners
190 students trained and placed in internships
45 students placed in jobs after graduation
