Imagine an industry with local talent to lead us into the future with cleantech solutions
Partner with Avantus and UNITE-LA as we collaborate with the region’s leaders in clean technology and nationally recognized employers to provide L.A. youth with essential skills and competencies and increased access to high-growth careers in the growing cleantech industry. Together, we will lead efforts to advance a more diverse and inclusive regional, cleantech workforce and industry-informed education systems. Doing so will help improve economic outcomes for disadvantaged populations.
Curriculum Development: Education partners, labor leaders, youth-serving organizations and leading Los Angeles-area employers to help develop the curriculum for students to prepare for the clean energy transition.
Student Recruitment: Education and non-profits organizations to support student outreach throughout the LA region, we especially want to raise awareness among historically underserved communities
Business and Labor Community: The business and labor community todefine what skill sets they require and share the positions that need to be filled by the future workforce.
Job Placement: Leading cleantech employers to commit to hiring students after they complete the training.
Through a collaborative approach, we will work to develop inclusive, cleantech talent pipelines through strategic, community-centric partnerships, including working with local community-based organizations that support prioritized populations. Through our employer and community partnerships, we will place 300 deserving scholars in high growth, living wage jobs and internships.
