Step 1: Visit our online application portal. After reviewing the description, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Apply" button.
Step 2: Enter basic information. Once all required fields are complete, click "Next Step."
Step 3: Enter applicable experience information (optional) and click "Next Step."
Step 4: Upload your resume (optional). Please note that uploading a resume is highly encouraged, but you can also return to this step later if you do not have one ready to upload. Click "Next Step" to proceed.
Step 5: Include a brief statement of interest. Click "Submit."
Step 6: After you complete the application, you will receive an email from the UNITE-LA team asking you to submit a 1-2 minute pre-recorded interview on VidCruiter, a virtual interview platform. This allows us to get to know you better. In the pre-recorded interview, you will briefly share your interests and expectations for the Cleantech Academy.
Your application has now been submitted and you will receive two emails — one confirming submission of the application and one confirming submission through VidCruiter.
Requirements to Apply
CURRENT resident of L.A. County
Must be 18 to 24 years old
Interest in learning about the cleantech economy (no prior industry/work experience is required)
Commitment to 12 weeks of required, on-camera, virtual sessions, 2x a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4-6:30 p.m.)
Availability to attend MANDATORY, in-person sessions, including the kick-off event, graduation ceremony and at least three scheduled employer site visits in the L.A. area
Access to an internet-enabled device and Wi-Fi; on-camera presence is required
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and meet program income requirements
